At IntoConcrete, we have become blessedly accustomed to hearing rave reviews of our products. In the past week, we have been very fortunate to receive some favorable press coverage of our business practices.

 IntoConcrete Founder Mario Guagnelli will graduate from the prestigious Kellogg School with an EMP 96 this spring. The school featured him on their Inside Perspective blog, examining how he used his diverse background in IT and manufacturing, passion for Scandinavian design, and Kellogg connections to his advantage when starting IntoConcrete.

Starting with his heritage, Mario traced the route that brought him to appreciate the products that our clients have come to love. “I was born and raised in Mexico in a family with Italian and artistic heritage, so I grew up with an appreciation for classic sculpture,” he explained. “Concrete is the most widely used material on earth. In the last few years, there have been huge advances in concrete technology. Right now, there is a trend in contemporary architecture to use raw, uncolored concrete that has begun to expand into the design world.”

Shortly thereafter, ZapStitch took the time to sit down with our founder to explore the marketing concepts that have driven the double-digit growth of our online marketplace. They looked at how we clearly defined our target audience – discerning clients just like you, consistently choose the correct channels to communicate with you, and built the right team to bring you the products you want. Most of all, they focused on his appreciation for continual learning. “Don’t think you can do everything,” he advised. “If required, do look out for mentorship. Listen, listen and listen. Sometimes this could give you a fresh perspective on your problem.”
