From barrel to cap, a continuous fusiform shape.
There is in architecture a traditional construction technique of creating curved surfaces with geometric planes. This edition of Concrete Writing Instruments from 22STUDIO has a curved surface or "fusiform"
(spindle) shape, derived from the same architectural concept. Around the joints of the concrete plates, natural traces and marks from usage will appear; the more you use these writing instruments, the darker the color and smoother to the touch they will become.
The stainless steel cap narrows at the top to achieve the fusiform or spindle shape. This design is rare in the writing instrument market, as it is a labor-intensive and time-consuming process. Artisans must manually process each piece one by one. After being cast, concrete will usually receive a finishing treatment that mooths its surface, ridding it of imperfections. In the case of béton brut architecture, the concrete is unfinished - simple yet majestic - expressing the pattern left by the formwork.

"In 2005, my wife Yiting Cheng, and I founded 22STUDIO to satisfy our enthusiasm for concrete's raw, exposed beauty. Inspired by the works of Japanese architect Tadao Ando, we wanted to create personal products that transmitted the material's honesty and transparency."

MODULE FOUNTAIN PEN. AND ALL THE STUDIO 22 PENS.
Amazing Pen. Excelente quality and the best material for the Nib and Cap. Better far away from the expensive Brands like MONTBLANC That’s made in Brass. I love the quality materials that you use for this pens.
