Lost in Time
The Fourth Dimension
Twelve slim spiraling concrete steps symbolize the fourth dimension: time. Inspired by architecture, these modern timepieces are a captivating example of the capabilities of concrete.
Over the years, 22STUDIO has perfected its specialized, high-performance concrete mixtures and production techniques. After countless hours, they have developed the skills to challenge design boundaries and bring unimaginable ideas to life.
This is when the intricate concrete spiral staircase dial comes to life. After the dial is taken out of its mold, it rests in the curing room for 14 days in order to reach its maximum strength and develop its unique concrete pattern.
Once the dial reaches the hands of a Taiwanese master watchmaker, he fuses it with a Swiss Automatic movement and alluring three-dimensional watch hands. This process mimics our everyday lives—precious yet difficult moments to create something uniquely authentic.

Meet the Studio
"In 2005, my wife Yiting Cheng, and I founded 22STUDIO to satisfy our enthusiasm for concrete's raw, exposed beauty. Inspired by the works of Japanese architect Tadao Ando, we wanted to create personal products that transmitted the material's honesty and transparency."
