Our Story

A father-son duo with a concrete dream.

We are Mario and Roberto Guagnelli. A father and son duo interpreting the way concrete functions as a contemporary lifestyle material.

Our story begins in 2014 in a Chicago basement. We were amazed by an extraordinary concrete dining table on a visit to Scandinavia. The monolithic concrete surface and minimal wooden legs had a sense of elegance that left us in awe. We come from a long line of Italian sculptors who have created works of art residing in some of the world's iconic buildings like the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. We are proud of our ancestry, and we have always wanted to do it justice.

Inspired by our visit and our heritage, we got to work. From our basement, ideas and sketches began materializing. We started looking for partner designers who held the same passion and dedication for concrete. Eventually, we stumbled upon Argentinian designer Francisco Corvi. Together in 2015, we created our first product: the Corvi Wine Cooler.

Our journey kept us searching for innovation, and we continued collaborating with people from around the world. We noticed a small yet growing community of concrete designers, artisans, and makers struggling to bring awareness to this timeless material.

After years of experience, we now understand the finite and often temperamental nature of concrete and how it can be formed into beautiful pieces. We want to take this experience and use it to bring you the best concrete products and untold stories from around the world. Join us as we explore the possibilities of concrete!
