Meet the Studio
"Material Immaterial Studio is built on the basic principles of the bare beauty of materials. We are minimalist; the approach has always been to leave out rather than what to put in. This reduction process is what takes us through a mirror, emerging out on the other side to discover the richness and the sense of release that comes from allowing space to be unencumbered by visual distractions."

We love the Factory! The details are exquisite, and the style evokes brutalism: minimalist, honest, unassuming, heroic. The Factory proudly occupies a spot in our living room!
Hello! What a great purchase experience! Incredible piece - amazing customer service and will be a customer for life. The perfect piece of art to have and play with.
This piece is an amazingly detailed miniature sculpture. It is remarkable how something so small can, at the same time, be so monumental. Complex, yet streamlined, the design style is deco surrealist brutalist modernism. Influences must include the great Italian surrealist Giorgio de Chirico, and the stairway trajectories bring to mind M. C. Escher. The sharpness of the detail achieved in concrete at such small scale is remarkable. The work is very photogenic, and wonderful effects can be achieved by varying the location and intensity of the lighting. The kinetic aspect of the piece is very enjoyable. It is very important to place it on a level surface to assure a proper flight of the steel balls through the course. It takes 18 seconds for a ball to make it from the top tower to the bottom reservoir. Running multiple balls through the course at the same time can be mesmerizing.
I am very interested in Brutalistic architecture and this piece just spoke to me. The marble-run component of it didn't really attract me, but it still is very elegant and gives your eye a reason to follow all the details. Arrived very well packaged, with no chips, cracks, or pits. The sculpture is very smooth, with a satisfying weight. The bottom has about 1/8" of corkboard so it doesn't scratch up any surface it rests on. The dimensions are listed on the site but just be aware what that translates to in reality. I could imagine some people expecting an expensive concrete sculpture to be substantial in size, and being disappointed when this arrives.
Absolutely love this piece of artwork… I have it on my desk in my office and I love it people are already complementing it and commenting on it… Very spectacular… What a lovely company I would refer this company to anybody
